What Is a GREAT Scholarship?

The Great scholarship is a fully funded scholarship which is awarded by the equal collaboration of the UK’s government GREAT Britain campaign and the British council, in partnership with UK universities. A tuition fee of £10,000 minimum is offered for one-year postgraduate courses taught.

Around 200 scholarships are available for 2025 intake which includes a wide range of countries:

Highlights:

● For Pakistan 14 scholarships are available which includes 3 for science & technology and 2 for justice & law.
● For other countries 5 to 20 scholarships, each, are available.

Opportunities for Pakistani Students:

Around 19 scholarships are available for the year 2025- 26 for postgraduate Pakistani students, which are of minimum £10,000.

Eligibility criteria for Great Scholarship:

To be eligible for Great Scholarship, candidates must:
● Be a citizen and resident of the targeted country
● Meet the English language requirements
● Have an undergraduate.
● Should show interest and motivation to the chosen field
● Be willing to act an ambassador after studies and participate in UK scholarly community
● As an alumni should stay in touch with the host university and British council
● Should attend networking events of Great scholar.

Application process for Great Scholarship:

● For each university deadlines and application process varies therefore, follow application instructions by specific institution that you want to apply.
● Wait for result, university will directly inform the successful candidates.
● Scholarships funds i.e. tuition support will be provided to the candidate once they get registered at the university.
